Fathers Fish

Happy belated Fathers Day. Mine was awesome got a fish tank with some fish as well. 1 African dwarf frog, 3 Neon's, 3 Guppies, 1 Molly and one Beta. Since then I have lost the Beta, the Molly and 2 Guppies ....super bummer. However we still love the tank and have mourned our friends with a proper "burial at sea." Go forth brave souls into the unknown and so on and so forth, anyway the moral of this story is ....... well, fish die I guess then isn't it. But fish are really cool and somehow relaxing to watch. If you have a tank share it with us.

I hope everyone had a great Fathers Day and a fun summer to come. Have a good day.  ~ Manimal.

Spring Has Sprung

Wow spring is springing all around. The cats are actually wanting to be outside. The dogs are wanting to stay out longer. Yay! Soon it will be warm and sunny, for us forest critters it is a time greatly anticipated. When I moved here from Arizona people would say "A sun worshiper aye?" well I thought yes at the time. However after living here for many years my blood has thickened , as so has my waist, to get used to the colder winters. I believe now I am a true sun worshiper. The fact is that when we lived in the dessert we hated on the sun going out in it only when we had to. A buck ten or fifteen is brain baking hot. So I would say that we were more like shade and air conditioning worshipers. And now we go out in it no matter how hot it gets, knowing that it will be short lived. So from shade worship to sun worship we are grateful that the sun is returning and soon we will be in the river, on the lakes, and in the mountains. How do you and your pets plan on spending summer this year? Let us know and maybe give out some ideas for others.

Dolphin Stampede in The Sea of Cortez

Our friends Katie and Mark decided in 2012 to get married, leave their jobs in Montana, buy a boat and sail around the Sea of Cortez for a year or until their money runs out. They are having fun, following their dreams and exploring a different part of the world before they start their family.

They recently came across a pod of dolphins!

"This video documents a massive pod of dolphins veering off course to intercept and cross the path of our sailboat! One of the most amazing experiences we've had yet here in the Sea of Cortez, Mexico.' ~ Katie

Cold Weather Reminder

Good day. Well it is snowing pretty good outside today and reminded me to remind you guys that extreme cold can be as dangerous to you're pets as extreme heat, more so for our short haired friends so be aware if you're friend looks cold they probably are cold. So make sure if you have an outside pet that they have proper shelter and a blanket to keep warm with. Have a great day and stay warm.

Does Your Cat Love You On It's Terms?

Good day, and here I sit at the infinite possibilities of asking a blog question. I don't ask a bunch because my brain fills with infinite possibilities and I can't seem to pin down one question long enough to start the chore of pecking it out on this machine [ its not as easy as everyone else makes it look ] or the ones I do pin down just sound dumb to me. So I am just going to ask a dumb question any how.

Out of all you guy's that have cats, does you're cat love you on it's terms, you're terms, even split, or not really at all?

My answer is this, Luna my female cat totally loves me on her terms, more likely when its cold or I have some type of interesting food in hand.

Mr. Spock however is the only cat I have ever had that just can't seem to get enough and is always eager to interact with someone.

Well there it is my first blog question I have ever asked, may it find you well and happy.

If you have a minute please leave your answer.

Today I Rescued A Giant

Spock had a dramatic morning, it all started the same as pretty much all of his mornings tend to start. He of course heard the giants climbing out of their comas that they call sleep long before they were even aware of it themselves. "Fools don't they know you gotta be alert in this world?" As if to confirm this fact of life (Mr Spock likes facts of life, keeps one alert) confirmation came swiftly when an alien mouse rat thing lashed out at Spock's giant monkey friend (who feeds, pets, and hardly ever hurts Mr Spock's feeler) "another fool." It had attached itself to the paw of the giant with an amazingly long tongue that it had somehow wrapped around the giants creepy, almost spider like claws (that were not even sharp) the giant seemed amused, however it was trying to shake the alien off.

No need, giant friend my claws are sharp and know there job very well.  It was on in a flash of raw power and lightning fast reflexes honed to an instant of explosive fury. The alien surely was shocked by it, for he tried desperately to escape the inevitable, as he had thought A FOOL. A single side step and forward lunge and it was go time. Clutching with the claws of mortal engagement he rolled into his opponent and then, the secret move known only to the powerful, non foolish creatures of this world, his back legs rose towards his foe - oh and look more razor sharp doom. It only took three or four good kicks and it was over the alien's tongue snapped like a noodle it must have been it's life line for it died instantly and without a scene. Then the morning got back to normal the giant thanked Mr Spock for the assistance with the foolish alien by giving him one of those spectacular little yummies from the pantry and then Mr Spock slept but, it was not a foolish sleep you can be sure, for you never know what lurches around corners or in boxes but whatever it may be let it come,  Mr Spock will be ready.
